Freedom International Missions

Would you like to play a part in God’s Global Purposes even as you continue to live and work in Charlotte, NC.  If so, consider joining FHC’s Missionary Support Team. 

The Missionary Team serves the church in its efforts to support its missionaries.  We understand that the success of missionaries’ work in the field is largely dependent on the support of the sending family back home.  Our team works to involve the vast majority of our church’s members in some way with the missionaries we support in international fields. The Missionary Team keeps close ties with important information on all the missionaries. The Team is charged with the task of connecting the missionary to our church family on a regular basis. This involves providing missionaries with consistent correspondence, gifts, finances, resources, and support when they are at home on furlough. The Missionary Team does this by distributing the needs of the missionaries across the various ministries of the church in an organized fashion. 

Our goal is for every ministry, in their efforts to educate, influence, and involve people in world evangelism, to be looking for ways to connect people to missionaries on the field. We keep up-to-date on the breaking news of missionary efforts.  We also work within the church to schedule times for missionaries to meet with leaders, speak in services when they are home, and plan future visits to them on the field. The Missionary Team is the resource agent for the missionaries and for the church as it relates to its missionaries. 

The team meets on a rotational basis each month at the church office to help prepare and send the monthly newsletters for each missionary Freedom International supports and sends.  They are also involved in coordinating our annual “Freedom International Golf Tournament” that raises finances and awareness for Freedom House missionaries.  The team may meet together regularly to pray for it’s missionaries, discuss missions, and strategize for new local and international cross cultural outreach.
